The short version

Persian Wisdom works on your iPhone. Your searches, favorites and daily-saying settings stay on your device. The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The only thing it ever sends is feedback you choose to send.

Searching

What you type is matched against the library on your iPhone. It is not sent anywhere.

Feedback you choose to send

During early access, the app may offer “Rate these results”. If you fill it in and tap Send, the app sends us:

the situation you searched for,
the sayings the app showed you and your ratings of them,
the saying you think is right and any notes you wrote,
the app's build number and a random key that Apple's App Attest service creates for your installation of the app.

We use it only to improve which sayings the app finds. Reports are reviewed by hand and may become anonymous examples in the app's search data. The random key lets us confirm a report came from the real app and limit spam. It is not linked to your name, Apple ID, email, device or location, and we do not store IP addresses. Please don't include names or other private details in what you write.

Nothing is sent unless you tap Send. If your iPhone is offline, the report waits on your iPhone and is sent the next time you open the app; once it has been sent, no copy stays on your iPhone. Reports are stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider) in the EU region and deleted once they have been reviewed.

Shared links

When you share a saying, the link carries the saying itself after the “#”, which browsers never send to our server. Opening a link stores nothing.

Notifications

The daily saying is scheduled on your iPhone. No server is involved.

Your choices

Because reports aren't linked to you, we can't look up “your” reports, but if you tell us what you wrote, we will delete it.
